Title: The United States and Political Islam: Dealing with the Muslim Brotherhood in the Arab Revolutions

March 13th, 2019 – Mohamed-Ali Adraoui, Visiting Researcher at the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, spoke at ACMCU on the historic and contemporary aspects of the US policy towards the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood.

Dr. Mohamed-Ali Adraoui is a French Political Scientist working on contemporary International Relations and contemporary Islam. He holds a Ph.D. from Sciences Po in Paris for his work on contemporary Salafism. Currently Dr. Adraoui is a Visiting Researcher here at the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, whose current research deals with the history of the US foreign policy towards the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. He has held academic positions at the European University Institute in Florence and the National University of Singapore. His work on Salafism in France is under contract with Oxford University Press. He has also edited a volume on the Islamist movementsโ€™ foreign policies published with Edinburgh University Press.
