Chirin Dirani is the Events and Program Coordinator at the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim Christian Understanding. Chirin is a development practitioner with over fifteen years of management, administrative and operational experience in the MENA region. She graduated from Damascus University with a B.A. in Political Economy, and is currently completing her MA in Arab Studies at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University. Previously, Chirin worked as a Field Manager in Jordan at NICCOD. Her main role was focused on supporting the economic empowerment of female refugees from Syria and Jordan. In Syria, Chirin used her business experience to help young female entrepreneurs establish their small businesses. In 2012, she was granted the World of Difference Award by the International Alliance for Women.
