Junus el-Naggar
Visiting Researcher
Junus el-Naggar studied Islamic Theology and Anglistics at the University of Osnabrรผck, Germany, at the Noor Majan Institute in Ibri, Oman, and at the University of Victoria (BC), Canada. He is currently doing his doctorate in the Department of Educational and Cultural Studies at the University of Osnabrรผck, Germany, and has been a doctoral scholarship holder of the Avicenna Studienwerk since 2019 and their doctorand'sย spokesman since 2021. His research interests focus poststructuralist discourse theory and its methodical implementations as well as Western Islam Discourses, particularly the media level. His dissertation project examines the development of media debates on Islam's โbelongingโ to Germany between 2010 and 2018. Currently, he is a Visiting Scholar at Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding (ACMCU) in Washington, D.C.
