Visiting Researcher

Rasoul Naghavi is a PhD candidate in Shiite Jurisprudence (Fiqh) at the “Islamic Seminary of Qom” Iran and a visiting researcher at ACMCU since August 2013. His areas of interest include Islamic Jurisprudence (fiqh), Principles of Fiqh, Exegesis of the Holy Qur’an, Shiite Theology, Islamic history, Shiite Political Theory, Faith-based peacebuilding, theological formation of peace, restorative justice and Conflict analysis. He has a second M.A in “Peace building and Conflict resolution” from Eastern Mennonite University V.A U.S.A and has been a lecturer in many Intensive Islamic studies courses in different countries including U.S.A, India, Indonesia, Tanzania and Iran. Rasoul, is the author of three books in Shiite Jurisprudence and Fatwas and several articles in sociopolitical Fiqh.
