Sheila B. Lalwani was a Research Fellow at the Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding at Georgetown University in 2010-2011. Her work focused on Muslims in North America, Europe and Asia. She most recently returned from Germany, where she was on a Fulbright Fellowship to research Muslims in Germany and Western Europe. She graduated from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where she led the Religion & Public Life Professional Interest Council and was also awarded fellowships from the Women and Public Policy Program and Harvard Law School. She has lectured in Poland, Germany and Malaysia and taught in Germany. She previously worked as a journalist and has reported from India, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Austria and Germany. She speaks Arabic, Hindi and German.
