Zeynep Dagi, PhD, is a lecturer in the Department of International Relations at TOBB-Economy and Technology University in Ankara.
She served as a member of parliament (the Grand National Assembly of Turkey) representing Ankara between 2007 and 2011. During her service in the parliament she headed the Turkish delegation in the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, and was a member of Foreign Affairs Committee.
Since 2001 she has taught courses on diplomacy, international politics, Turkish foreign policy and Russian politics. She acted as the editor of Demokrasi Platformu (2006-2007), a Turkish quarterly.
She published several books and articles on the relationship between identity and foreign policy with references to Turkey and Russia. She was a visiting research fellow (2001-2002) at the George Washington University’s Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies. She is currently conducting a research project entitled “Islamic Solidarity in Turkish Foreign Policy: The AK Party Years.”
