Taghreed Alsabeh
Visiting Researcher
Dr. Taghreed Alsabeh is a Visiting Researcher at the Alwaleed Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Washington D.C. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago and specializes in international relations and comparative politics. Her research focuses on the Middle East and North Africa, particularly Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, and studies comparative foreign policy, Islamism, democracy, and authoritarianism. Her current research interests focus on Saudi Arabia and the future of democracy. Alsabeh was the first female lecturer in Political Science in Saudi Arabia during her work at King Saud University (2014). Her forthcoming book "Between Ideology and Politics: The Foreign Policy of Islamist Political Parties" is going to be published by Bloomsbury in 2024.
